Landscaping by J. Michael is looking for a Lead Gardener/Horticulturalist. The ideal candidates are results-driven, passionate about the green industry and contributing to growth. Immediate Opening Available. Job Summary Plans and schedule for day-to-day operation of the Horticultural Department. Responsibilities and Duties Apply general and accepted practices for pruning, fertilizing disease/fungus control and maintenance of residential and commercial properties. To work and oversee up to 2 crew members. Responsible for paper work, documentation, photographs, client recommendations and scheduling site visits. Perform estimates and sales to clients. Assist in Landscape Department as needed. Qualifications and Skills 5+ year experience in landscape maintenance and horticulture or related field. Skilled in proper pruning techniques and general garden bed maintenance. Strong knowledge of annuals, perennials, trees and shrubs. Proper use of both organic and chemical treatment for disease and insect control. Valid driver's license Valid DOT Health Card or the ability to obtain one Pesticide and/or MCLP licenses a plus Benefits Paid Time Off Health Insurance Retirement Plan Boot Reimbursement up to $150 Bonuses Training Incentives Industry License Increases Annual Merit Reviews Advancement with Growth Potential Year Round Position w/Participation in Snow Operations Powered by JazzHR
