Looking for a lifetime career? Apply today! Job Description Equipment Storage and Installation (ESI) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory! The facility systems and construction oversight engineer will be responsible for supporting building construction and installation of building systems. The engineer will become an expert on the systems and equipment and be able to review installation procedures, functional testing criteria, troubleshoot issues, and provide oversight to technical issues. They will participate as the liaison between system installers, construction and engineering. Additional areas of opportunity for the selected candidate may include providing oversight to construction work, or reviewing construction non-conformance reports, drafting or reviewing commissioning plans. They will be working closely with project management and Subcontract Technical Representatives to coordinate oversight of construction work. You will be part of the team working on construction and startup of one of the largest construction projects in the Naval nuclear program. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 9 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 7 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; orqualified SIT and 3 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; orCurrently or previously CRE qualified; or6 years as SRE; orSRE qualified and 9 years of experience. Preferred Skills Demonstrated ability to work on individual assignments as well as being a contributing member of a small team. Experience working in a team environment with interface groups such as operations, construction contractors, compliance personnel, and procurement. Experience working with a highly motivated team such as military, or production preferred. Remote working experience preferred. Demonstrated self-motivation skills, experience in writing technical reports or engineering evaluations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Eagerness to be trained to learn new skills as needed. Pay Range $103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually Salary information provided is a general guide line only.
