This is personal for us. POSITION OVERVIEW We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team at Molly’s Bar and Grill. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality and consistency. As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting our diverse menu offerings, contributing to customer satisfaction, and supporting the overall success of the establishment. Responsibilities: Customer Satisfaction: Prepare and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring that each dish meets our quality and taste expectations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions or preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils. Respond promptly to customer feedback and address any concerns or issues to ensure a positive dining experience. Sales and Revenue: Work efficiently to prepare orders in a timely manner, minimizing wait times for guests and maximizing table turnover. Monitor food supplies and communicate with management to ensure adequate inventory levels and minimize waste. Adhere to portion control guidelines and recipe specifications to optimize food cost and contribute to the overall profitability of the establishment. Speed and Efficiency: Coordinate with other kitchen staff to prioritize orders and streamline workflow during peak periods. Demonstrate proficiency in cooking techniques and equipment operation to ensure consistent and high-quality food preparation. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities to meet service demands. Inventory Management: Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to verify quality and quantity of items received. Rotate and organize food stock to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage. Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to management and follow established procedures for handling and storage. Safety and Compliance: Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper use of equipment and handling of hazardous materials. Complete required training programs related to food safety, hygiene, and kitchen procedures. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and support each other to maintain a smooth and efficient operation. Assist colleagues during busy periods and demonstrate a willingness to help wherever needed. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by promoting teamwork and mutual respect. Personal Development: Take initiative to expand culinary knowledge and skills through training opportunities, workshops, and self-study. Set personal goals for professional growth and seek feedback from supervisors to continuously improve performance. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and a passion for cooking through your actions and contributions to the kitchen team. Attendance and Reliability: Maintain punctuality and reliability by adhering to scheduled shifts and fulfilling duties consistently. Notify management in advance of any anticipated absences or schedule conflicts. Demonstrate dedication to the role and a strong work ethic through consistent attendance and performance. Qualifications: 21+ years of age or older Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a restaurant or food service establishment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary principles, and kitchen equipment operation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
