Job Description Staffing Coordinator (Contract)This position includes the responsibility of coordinating scheduling and staffing activities for the Nursing Department, and to maintain optimum levels of nursing personnel to meet the residents' needs on a shift to shift basis. * Must possess a moderate degree of familiarity with nursing staffing patterns. * Must have the ability to problem solve. * Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office, and Outlook. * Proficiency in computer staffing programs preferred. * Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization. * Must possess the ability to develop positive working relationships with frontline staff. * Ability to complete routine paperwork. * Ability to develop and maintain filing systems. * Ability to follow routine verbal or written instructions. * Ability to analyze information and to draw conclusions. * Ability to maintain quality, safety, or infection control standards. * Must be able to multi-task and handle frequent interruptions from staff and administration. * Ability to work 40 hours per week, usually during daytime business hours. * Ability to work overtime, and evenings/nights or weekends as needed. Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED required. * Minimum one year experience with staffing, and/or scheduling preferred, but not required. Job Requirements
