STRATEGIC STAFFING SOLUTIONS HAS AN OPENING! Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Data Engineer for a contract opening with one of our largest clients! This is a Contract Opportunity with our company that MUST be worked on a W2 ONLY, NO visa sponsorship or C2C eligibility for this position . The details are below. Job Title : Data Engineer W2 ONLY!!!! Contract : 6 Months Location : Houston, TX Job/Role Description: * Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.* Implement and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.* Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems and processes.* Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.* Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.* Use Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) to streamline data workflows and create custom applications.* Collaborate with data architects and IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and management.* Implement data governance policies and best practices to maintain data accuracy and compliance.* Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations. Stakeholder Engagement:* Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.* Provide training and support to end-users on how to effectively use Power Platform tools for data analysis and reporting.* Communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Skills/Experience: * Microsoft Power Platform Expertise: Proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps is essential for data visualization, workflow automation, and custom application development.* SQL: Strong SQL skills are crucial for querying, manipulating, and managing data stored in relational databases.* Data Modeling: Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices to design efficient and scalable data architectures.* Data Analysis: Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and derive actionable recommendations.* Data Integration: Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools to ensure seamless data flow across systems.* Data Governance: Understanding of data governance frameworks and principles to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.* Communication: Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.* Project Management: Experience managing data projects from inception to completion, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing resources.* Analytical Thinking: Critical thinking and analytical skills to interpret data, draw meaningful insights, and make data-driven decisions that align with business objectives.* Oil and gas is needed.
