Job Description: We are seeking a Sr Technician for a very important client.Key Tasks:* Electronic Component evaluations (I.C, Resistors, Capacitors, other)* To support engineers and designers in the development of new automotive electronic diagnostic products.* Electronic circuit prototyping and debug* Assemble and solder Surface mount printed circuit boards* Assisting Snap-on Diagnostics Manufacturing SMT processes * Perform non-routine assignments in accordance with Snap-on Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products department policy supporting product development teams with: Technical information, assistance, testing and release of product.* Train and act as resource for other technicians.* Perform entry-level design work.* Perform cost and time estimates as required by project team.* Communicate, collaborate and coordinate cross-functionally to solve problems with products Interface with Engineering, automotive technicians, Snap-on Service organization, and Snap-on Manufacturing.* Most complex testing, troubleshooting and analysis.* Complex data compiling and report writing.* Follow company policies and procedures.* Create and or verify Bills of material for prototypes* Other duties as assigned. Requirement: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:Requirements:* Associates degree or equivalent education and 8 years experience or 12 years experience or demonstrated proficiency in Technician III -- Engineering position key tasks for 1 year.* Proficient with Internet for sourcing electronic components, Datasheets, etc * Experience in writing and implementing test procedures, analyzing the results and recommending solutions.* Proficient with Excel, Word and email (prefer MS outlook)* Experience sourcing and evaluating components.* Experience in SMT manufacturing process.* Demonstrated ability to Assembly and or solder SMT circuit boards.* Experience in Circuit board design process (Design, Schematic capture, Circuit board layout, Test/Debug, Design for Manufacture, Design for test, integrate into manufacturing.)* Schematic Capture experience (prefer Cadence Capture)* Demonstrated ability to debug electronic circuits * Demonstrated ability to prototype electronic circuits.Preferred Requirements:* Automotive experience* Experience with Circuit board layout tools (PCAD, Allegro)* Development experience with PSPICE Requirements:* Associates degree or equivalent education and 8 years experience or 12 years experience or demonstrated proficiency in Technician III -- Engineering position key tasks for 1 year.* Proficient with Internet for sourcing electronic components, Datasheets, etc * Experience in writing and implementing test procedures, analyzing the results and recommending solutions.* Proficient with Excel, Word and email (prefer MS outlook)* Experience sourcing and evaluating components.* Experience in SMT manufacturing process.* Demonstrated ability to Assembly and or solder SMT circuit boards.* Experience in Circuit board design process (Design, Schematic capture, Circuit board layout, Test/Debug, Design for Manufacture, Design for test, integrate into manufacturing.)* Schematic Capture experience (prefer Cadence Capture)* Demonstrated ability to debug electronic circuits * Demonstrated ability to prototype electronic circuits.Preferred Requirements:* Automotive experience* Experience with Circuit board layout tools (PCAD, Allegro)* Development experience with PSPICE#PandoPandoLogic.
