The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Supply Chain Associate to support supply chain operations on behalf of the Department of Material Services. Assure compliance with federal and state laws, regent and university policies and procedures, and operating at the highest standards of ethical conduct. This position will be scheduled Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. This position is performed fully on campus.Position Responsibilities: * Receive, inspect, and properly store product. * Interact with suppliers to ensure the appropriate goods are being delivered. * Interact with internal and external customers to reconcile discrepancies with orders and shipments. * Investigate and address issues related to the inventory and warehousing processes. * Pick, stage, and ship orders from warehouse to customers. * Maintain inventory database(s) and records. Our goals are to: * Provide reusable and disposable products that are safe for use from an operational and epidemiological basis * Provide quality products at minimal expense and maximum process efficiencies * Encourage centralization of material management functions and accessibility that exceed expectations of staff and patients Our four areas are: Processed Stores, Mail Services, Uniform Shop and Linen Services.Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience * 1-3 years of experience working in or work supply chain management * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills * Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment Desirable Qualifications: * Knowledge of PeopleSoft inventory * Knowledge and understanding of inventory accounting practices * Knowledge of supply chain management in a hospital setting * Proficient in MS Office * Experience with pallet jacks and forklifts * Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and regulations * Ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards Position and Application details:In order to be considered for an interview, applicants must upload the following documents and mark them as a "Relevant File" to the submission: * Resume Job openings are posted for a minimum of 14 calendar days.
