The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered 80% (32 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work within our specialty clinics, specifically supporting our Endocrinology Clinic in Bettendorf, IA. Our clinics specializes in the expert care for diabetes and other conditions that affect your body's glands, hormones, and metabolism. We provide personalized diabetes treatment plans and follow-up care. UI Diabetes Care is a leader in the treatment of people with diabetes and has developed innovative programs designed to help prevent and control diabetes. We use a patient-centered care approach-a partnership between you and your team of physicians, nurses and dietitians-to develop a diabetes treatment plan that meets your needs. This position will mainly support Endocrinology but could also support other service lines/clinics based on clinical needs/hours.Our LPN's develop relationships and get to know our patients and monitor patient care history and deliver personalized, compassionate care every time to each patient. Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in the Pediatric Associates care setting by coordinating all elements of the patient visit.Duties to include: * Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. * Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients. * In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel.
