Shores Community Church seeks a dynamic and passionate individual to serve as the Director of Disciple-Making and Men’s Ministry. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, vision, and direction for all aspects of spiritual formation within our congregation’s adults. This role will involve designing and implementing programs, classes, and experiences that facilitate spiritual growth among adult members at various stages of faith.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSDisciple-making Training and Development: Along with the lead pastor, develop ongoing training and development paths for all Small Group Leaders, including Men’s, Women’s, and College Ministries. Develop Small Group Leaders by identifying, equipping, and releasing them to lead. Meet routinely with Small Group Leaders to encourage, discuss wins/challenges, talk about strategies for growth in the groups they oversee, and pray together. Organize and execute church-wide Small Group Leader meetings at least bi-annually to learn, encourage, share, and pray together. Be available for support and to encourage Small Group Leaders via phone, text, email, or in person. Ensure that all small group goals and objectives are met, including, but not limited to, multiplication, growth, attendance, discipleship, and overall health. Family Care and Counseling: Strengthen families within our church by helping them embrace the spiritual responsibilities given to them, helping them as they are being transformed, and leading them to come beside other families in need. Help our church understand our vision, mission, and purpose of why we exist as a Church by equipping, leading, encouraging, and releasing them to follow our discipleship process. Provide counseling care to help people in our church with their spiritual needs and point them to Jesus so they may come to know Him and abide in Him. Lead and Develop Men in Our Church: Coordinate regularly scheduled Men’s Bible studies. Plan and promote periodic men’s events. Develop and facilitate men’s disciple-making. Facilitate men using their gifts (time, talent, and treasure) for the local body. Empower men to lead other men in our church in a significant way. What a Strong Candidate Looks Like: Ability to be a “leader of leaders” to build and develop our disciple-making ministry as they execute the vision and mission of Shores Community Church. Ability to give constructive feedback and evaluation regularly to help produce quality ministry work while growing ministry leaders and volunteers. Submits their life to God and the authority of his Word and models a commitment to developing the character of Christ with a passion for ministry. A Christ-like mindset that has demonstrated itself in all facets of life because they have been made new but have not forgotten what it was like not to know Jesus. Maintain personal time with God, seeking His direction and prayerfully submitting to His will for your life.
