Made Possible.Job Functions * Directs and coordinates the day-to-day shift activities as set by area manager and supervisor. * Assists Supervisor in production planning, operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities, and human resource requirements and capabilities. * Works with Supervisor to makes decisions, job assignments and work priorities * Provides Leadership and supervision to designated shift. * Ensures that product quality, production efficiencies, and overall productivity meets or exceeds established standards. * Ensures that Safety/ housekeeping/ procedures and acceptable work practices are being followed throughout the shift. * Conducts performance coaching of individuals for performance related issue for safety, quality, and productivity. * Enforces all company policies and procedures. * Ensures completion of all paperwork including end of shift reports, PMs, work orders, and daily management. * Provide break relief to other operators, including feeding machines and packing product as needed. * Works with department manager to implement cost saving initiativesRequired Skills * Self-sufficient and cost effectively perform all required cutting functions. * Must have extensive knowledge for identification and working knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic components. * Ability to troubleshoot, adjust and debug to finalize majority of machine lines required in house or at the customers facility. * Trained and knowledgeable in Mechanical Assembly Standards, Engineering Standards, other applicable procedures and parts flow. * Heavy mechanical skills in a manufacturing environment.Required Experience * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * 2-5 years of machine operating experience * Strong mechanical aptitude, including use of tools and industrial machine mechanics * Ability to teach and lead others * Basic computer skillsGraphic Packaging is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
