Job Summary: RugsUSA is looking for a talented Director - Distribution to oversee all building operations in our Stockton, CA facility. The major focus will be the overall inputs and outputs of the building and ensuring that the product flows through each department in a safe and effective manner. The Director will strive to balance cost and service in an environment promoting continuous improvement and a winning team culture. Essential Job Functions: Balance cost and service for the facility in line with SLA's and CPU targets (effectively partnering with the workforce in the achievement of same). Drive daily / weekly / monthly performance reviews for the facility (inc. performance to the overall budget). Actively contributes to the broader distribution leadership team and the development of best practices across the network. Provide feedback, examples, and contextual information as to why issues occur and implement measures for mitigation. Communicate and escalate emergent situations as required. Drive and participate in continuous improvement plans for the building, engaging from a people, process and systems perspective. Actively lead and ensure compliance with the facility safety program. Act as a source of knowledge and guidance on distribution best practices. Effectively partner with the workforce to meet business expectations of work standards (e.g. service lead times and unit per hour metrics). Enable and support line leaders in providing frequent, consistent performance coaching, feedback and recognition to employees. Maintain the general "look and feel" of the building, always striving to keep an organized, clean, and effective workspace for all associates. Ensures maintenance and compliance to facility & best practice SOP's, working through the site leadership team on compliance proper tasks are provided each day and all work levels understand the work expected of them. Foster a culture of employee engagement as an approachable leader focused on employee development, recognition and retention. You Have: 3+ years of site leadership experience / 10+ years of Distribution center progressive leadership. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Must be able to communicate effectively and motivate employees. Must have basic computer skills and experience. Hands on experience with warehouse management software. Able to work independently and in a team environment. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to project manage initiatives in the details while seeing the bigger picture. Prioritize and work well under pressure. Adhere to and comply with all company procedures, regulations, and safety law. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000-$155,000 + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the likely salary opportunity for a new hire in this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
