Global Financial Firm located in Rutherford, NJ has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst "This role is currently on a Hybrid Schedule. You will need to have reliable internet, computer and android or iphone for remote access into the client systems during remote work. We will be expected in the office weekly 3 days depending on the team requirement. ****Video/ f2f interviews are required prior to all offers. Pay rate range: $65.00 - $75.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience Job Description: The Business Analyst plays a meaningful role in delivering high-quality modern solutions as part of an Agile scrum team. The Business Analyst is accountable for providing business process and procedure expertise to enable the Product Owner and Scrum Team to effectively evaluate and prioritize team's backlog. The Business Analyst works closely with the Product Owner, software engineers and testers on the Scrum team to deliver on the commitments made during sprint planning. Responsibilities --- Partner with Product Owner to decompose and refine features and stories to effectively represent business requirements and desired outcomes. --- Work with the Scrum Team to translate the 'what' defined by the Product Owner into the 'how' --- Partner with Product Owner to create user story acceptance criteria. --- Engage and partner with QA /UAT to design optimal test coverage to validate business outcomes. --- Create business use cases leveraging deep understanding of business process flow and procedures. --- Lead process documentation development for change events to include change management approach. --- Work closely with engineering partners to develop solutions which meet the business requirements in an optimal, lean fashion. --- Engage in scrum ceremonies. --- Work across lines of business and teams to minimize risks and drive efficiency for solution. Qualifications --- Extensive Risk Management experience preferably Enterprise Risk --- Extensive Project Management or Product Ownership experience --- Strong business analysis skills including process mapping and improvement. --- 10-15 years' financial services implementation experience, analytics, or related risk management function --- Experience in Data Governance / Controls including Data Quality, Data gaps assessment/remediation specifically. --- Experience in Generative AI will be a distinct advantage --- Experience in any BI Reporting tool such as Tableau / Micro Strategy. --- Ability to spot, escalate and suggest fixes for data hygiene issues --- Ability to thoroughly document assumptions, methodology, validation and testing to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance requirements --- Expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, senior stakeholder engagement --- In-depth understanding and experience of creating dashboards and reports in Tableau with the use of Tableau Prep. Tableau Certification is an added advantage. --- In addition, any of the following will be a distinct advantage: Understanding of variety of risk types (Wholesale Credit, Market, Consumer, Operational, Reputational, Liquidity, etc.) --- This position requires attention to detail, accuracy, exceptional work ethics, solid communication skills, diplomacy skills, and ability to multitask and work against deadlines. --- Relevant experience on a project delivery team in an agile environment, optimally as a member of a Scrum Team --- Experience and demonstrated understanding of both the business and technical requirements and constraints relative to a team's backlog of stories. --- Strong collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills --- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems, leading with a growth mindset. --- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a variety of methods across multiple levels within the organization. --- Agile certifications a plus --- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
