At Visiting Nurse Association (VNA)/Easterseals Nebraska (ESN), we believe that everyone should have access to exceptional care and services so children, individuals, and families can thrive. As the Director of Grants, youll play a crucial role in the Fund Development Team, helping to identify operational and program needs, set fundraising goals, and develop strategies to achieve those objectives. You will be the primary grant writer, manage funder relationships, and support special fundraising initiatives. Your work will directly impact the ability for those in our community who are under-resourced and need health care and additional support services. WHAT YOULL DO Primary Grant Writer: Lead the writing and submission of compelling funding proposals that align with the agencys mission and goals, collaborating with key staff and community partners. Pre-Award Grant Cycle Management: Oversee the pre-award grant process, manage the annual grants calendar, identify opportunities, and ensure timely submissions. Post-Award Compliance: Ensure grant compliance and reporting requirements are met by working closely with key staff and partners. Agency Ambassador: Promote VNA/ESNs mission and role and develop and foster strong relationships within the organization and community. WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR Experience: Minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising and grant writing experience in private, public, and corporate sectors. Education: Masters degree in social science, Public Administration, or a similar field preferred. A bachelors degree with significant experience will also be considered. Skills: Proven skills in grant writing, grant management, budget development, developing strategic relationships with funders, and working collaboratively with staff. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals.
