Description:

Title: Applications Software EngineerLocation: 212 Elm Street, Ste. 102, Somerville, MA, 02144 Duties: Responsible for the full lifecycle of the assigned software application by developing workflow diagrams, recording the design through technical documentation, developing the application, reviewing test cases, and resolving bugs. Provide leadership in the teams Agile Scrum involving active project management and team communication. Areas of work include: mobile (iOS and Android) applications, database integration and front-end development with AWS tools such as Cognito and Amplify. The applications interface with Ava robots for functions such as controlling movement and health status and integrate with communication platforms such as Webex and equivalent. Position reports into Somerville, MA office; however, telecommuting from a home office is allowed. Requirements: Requires a Masters in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer or other occupation/position/job title involving software application development. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include two (2) years in each of the following:- Programming in Swift, Java, HTML, and PHP- Working within Amazon Web Services, iOS, and Android platforms- Working with databases using MySQL and SQLite- Mobile application development.
