As an Fabrications Product Quality Inspector at Caterpillar you will: Job Responsibility: * Completes inspections of fabrication structures and undercarriage using standard work, a checklist, and tooling provided (gauges, templates, etc.) * Performs overall quality inspection at quality gates or at pre-delivery inspection. * Inspects welds on the product to ensure it meets the specifications as outlined by Engineering. * Identifies defects, takes pictures, and records results in the defect management system. * Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work. Physical Requirements: * Lift parts up to 35 pounds individually * Occasional bending, reaching, and squatting while performing tasks * Consistent usage of required PPE for the task being performed * Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures * Ability to Stand at the workstation while performing tasks Basic Qualifications: * Basic Computer skills * Ability to use measuring tools and check gauges Desired Qualification: * Knowledge of Caterpillar systems ATRS (Assembly Tracking and Reliability System), PINPoint, Geneo) * Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) * Previous quality, welding or fabrication experience Starting pay: $19.60/hour + 8% Night shift premium *Mandatory overtime required/ Scheduled in advance* Additional Information: Resumes are highly encouraged.
