Overview Cimpl's, LLC , an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for a QA Sorter Lead at our Yankton, SD plant. As a QA Sorter Lead you will: * Be able to perform the QA sorter job. * Oversee and assist the QA Sorter department. * Responsible for the day-to-day control of QA Sorter department activities according to prescribed schedules, priorities, operation sequence, and processing specifications. * Cover QA Sorter duties when someone is absent. * Train employees in QA sorter areas. * Responsible for the safety and productivity of production employees in designated area(s). * Responsible for being a leadership resource to employees, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support, and advice. * Responsible for safety and housekeeping and for proper operation of equipment. * Evaluate department work performance; take corrective action in accordance with company standard practices and procedures. * Complete required paperwork. * Assist meetings. * NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): * Must be 18 years of age or older. * Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. * Diploma or GED. * Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality. * Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures warm, hot, humid, cold, wet or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Must be able to successfully complete training: * Beef Modernization * Safety Quality Foods (SQF) * Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) * Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) * Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) * Straight knife * Steel * Hook * Food defense Preferred Qualifications: * Previous FSIS inspector training and experience * Knife experience * Quality assurance experience * Bilingual Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
