Contribute: As a Data Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the design, maintenance, and implementation of database management systems, which provides the organization with orderly methods of data storage and controlled access to data. In addition, you will: Develop and implement new programs and systems in specific designated areas. Allocate resources to projects and maintain an overall resource plan for the team. Develop and prepare audits, testing and debugging procedures, problem analysis, feasibility studies, cost analyses, timetables and user procedures.Work closely with business management and controllers in the development of long range plans, establishment of priorities, identification of requirements, and training of users. What it Takes: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field; or equivalent work experience8+ years of related work experienceExperience in development, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions across multiple platformsDemonstrated ability for system design, delivery, and managementExperience in Java development, Data Pipeline, and/or streaming data implementations beneficialStrong knowledge and experience working with analytical database designs and implementationsExperience in development and implementation of BI capabilities, especially Tableau, SQL Server Analysis Services, and SAP Business ObjectsExperience or working knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spark, or other streaming technologies beneficialExperience in insurance considered beneficialCreative thinker with the ability to tell a story with dataExcellent written and verbal skills with strong presentation skillsPrior management, supervisory, or team leader experience, including project management experience preferredIf you have experience or knowledge in one of the preferred skills listed above, we want you to consider joining the Sentry team!
