Senior IT Professional

Description:
Primary IT support resources for PC/Server, ERP, and shop-floor systems; analyses system issues and provides solutions; escalates system issues to Regional IT Manager or to Global/Regional IT teams * Responsible for the daily operations of computer systems including system administration, security, process adherence and documentation equipment installation and system backup; installation and maintenance of equipment, application and o/s upgrades, patches, and new releases * Develops the Plant IT Operating Plan; provides input into the Plant Profit Plan regarding IT expense and capital requirements * Achieves Plant and designated Regional IT operating goals and key performance metrics * Consults with Regional IT leadership teams to review project plans and to obtain project approval and funding * Provides key plant IT contact for internal and external YFAI customers * Ensures company IT activities are communicated in a timely fashion to the plant leaders and both local and regional IT staff * Serves as the key Plant IT representative on new program teams: responsible for the creation of IT Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs) and subsequent approval for fundingRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.* 2-5 Minimum Years IT or related experience * 1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry * Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces. * 2 years of experience in supporting Local Area Networks (LANS) and associated equipment. * Outstanding PC/Server hardware and software experience including Microsoft Office, windows operating systems * Solid leadership and project management experience in successfully leading simultaneous IT projects. * Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills. * Customer support experience coupled with hardware, software, and network support. * Experience in supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
