An excellent opportunity exists for a full-time, general Gastroenterologist located one hour outside of New York City in beautiful Fairfield County. About the position: Join a long-established and busy practice, with 15 physicians and advanced practitioners. Responsibilities include both outpatient practice and inpatient coverage. Opportunity for a faculty appointment for those with an interest. Employed practice with a very nice call rotation. Opportunity to teach medical residents and medical students. Who we are seeking: Must be board certified and looking to join a highly collegial team. Must have a Connecticut Medical License or the ability to obtain one. About the compensation: Highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives Robust benefits package Allowances for CMEs plus allotted time off Dues and Expenses Relocation stipend Negotiated sign-on The facility: Not-for-profit community hospital providing area residents convenient access to exceptional care. 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits annually. Affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York. The location and community: Located in Fairfield County, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. Surrounded by a number of quaint towns with scenic rolling hills, this beautiful suburban location boasts excellent housing and school systems. It offers a wide array of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, and boating in state and regional parks and preserves.
