The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing clients in New York and New Jersey across a broad spectrum of family law matters. They should demonstrate proficiency in managing a busy caseload, preparing legal documents, and advocating for clients in mediations, hearings, and trials. Duties:Represent clients in various family law matters including separation, divorce, custody disputes, spousal and child support, and marital property issues.Manage a busy family law caseload efficiently and effectively.Prepare and draft legal documents such as discovery requests, motions, and briefs.Attend mediations, hearings, and trials to advocate for clients' interests.Handle a high volume of cases while ensuring attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Prefer candidates with 1st chair trial experience.Manage active family law matters and contribute to the growth of the firm's family law practice. Requirements:8+ years of experience practicing family law.Proven track record of representing clients in New York and New Jersey.Licensed to practice law in both New York and New Jersey.Prefer candidates with a small book of business. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Active license to practice law in New York. Skills:Strong litigation skills with experience in mediations, hearings, and trials.Excellent legal writing and research abilities.Ability to manage a heavy caseload efficiently.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Business development skills to contribute to the firm's growth.
