Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a Director of Clinical Education and faculty member for the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT program to join a dynamic team of faculty committed to preparing compassionate, excellent physical therapists at our Manchester, New Hampshire campus. Our extended geographical reach allows us to provide nation-wide clinical experiences. Job Summary: The Director of Clinical Education and Core Faculty, with rank commensurate with experience, will work with a collaborative clinical education team from both our Manchester, NH and our Goodyear, AZ campuses. The individual will demonstrate a passion for advancing the clinical development of our future physical therapists working in collaboration with a Clinical Education Team to successfully plan, place, monitor, and assess the clinical experiences of the program. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include, but are not limited to: Developing, monitoring and refining the clinical education component of our curriculum Working collaboratively with our faculty located on the Manchester, NH campus, to facilitate quality learning experiences for our students Advising students as well as monitoring their academic and clinical performances to ensure their success and entry-level competency Teach courses and content within your area of expertise Communicate between Franklin Pierce University and our affiliate clinical sites Plan, implement and provide continuous assessment of our clinical education program Engage in scholarly work to enhance our programs and the University's mission. Leadership I Supervisory Responsibilities: Work collaboratively within our team environment Engage our core faculty in clinical education planning, implementation, and assessment Maximize our available resources for the clinical education program Promote our program, enhance our visibility, and assist with recruiting for and retaining our students. Qualifications: Required: DPT from an accredited institution APTA Level 1 Credentialed Clinical Instructor Program certified Licensure (or be eligible for) to practice in NH A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, and three (3) years of clinical teaching and/or coordination The ability to travel to other campuses and sites as required Proven strength in strategic planning, leadership, and management Strong organizational skills and effective communication skills Administrative experience in managing student clinical experiences as CCCE/SCCE or certified clinical instructor. Quality assurance expertise to evaluate data and inform curriculum committee Preferred: An academic terminal degree (i.e.: Ph.D., DSC or Ed.D.) or a DPT with a Clinical specialization Previous teaching experience Previous experience in maintaining accreditation standards (CAPTE, JCAHO, CARF) As an Equal Opportunity employer, Franklin Pierce recognizes the impact of a diverse community and encourages applications from individuals with varied experiences, backgrounds and perspectives.
