Employbridge Search Group has a client in Phoenix, AZ who is looking for a Print Shift Lead to join their team. This is a company that is looking for someone to grow, and has competitive salary and benefits. Job Duties * Implement and support change within the department * Manage inventory and material flow * Ensure the needs of customers are being met and driving to bottom line results * Motivate team members, train and mentor members * Empower members to recognize and make improvements and lead department initiatives. * Manage the offset print process as needed to maintain acceptable quality to company standards. * Follows safety policies and LOTO procedures to ensure a safe work environment * Oversees schedule and material changes efficiently following the work order changeover process * Monitor machine output for non-conformance, and resolution of defects * Work with cross-functional teams as needed * Complete status reports for production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory * Mentor and manage team members to create an environment that strives to meet goals in Safety, Quality, productivity * Works with management to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies. * Create work orders and pulling/verifying plate locations to ensure efficient changeovers. * Utilize 5S Methodology to ensure workspace is clean and safe * Conducts pre-shift production meeting with team to discuss issues and what needs done for the day * Provides hands on support for production team members * Provides shift supervisor with appropriate information on safety issues, quality concerns, and production bottlenecks, as well as assisting supervisor with resolution. * Audit adherence to production standards and SOP's and escalate non-conformances to shift supervisor. * Examine job orders to determine quantities to be printed, specifications, colors, or special printing instructions. * Jump in and help the Operators as needed with duties such as running presses and pulling proofs, quality, changing press plate - and other duties that the team may need assistance with * Ability to learn Shotscope, ASC, as well as or other production monitoring software. * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * High School Diploma or Equivalent is required * Prior experience working on molding machines such as Husky, BMB, Van Dorn, Engel and/or Milacron are a plus * Ability to learn Lean Manufacturing and have objectivity to improve processes * Good mechanical aptitude is a plus * Must be a results oriented hands-on leader with a passion for implementing and sustaining improvements * Must be able to lift and handle a minimum of 45-55 pounds occasionally * Good hand and eye coordination a must * Perform work from a standing and/or sitting position as required * Must be able to work in an environment with moderate amount of noise * All work is performed in a manufacturing environment which may be hot/cold and requires the use of PPE at all times * Basic computer skill knowledge * Bilingual is a plus ???????
