OverviewPepsiCo, a leader in the food and beverage industry, has an opening for a role on the PFNA Quality Assurance Team. This role is required to support PFNA Quality Systems agenda thru providing data measurement, analysis of data to provide the business with actionable insights, identify smart compliance opportunities leveraging a risk-based approach, and find ways to digitize and automate our data collection systems. The candidate must have superb organizational, communication, and analytical skills. This person will be a key leader of the Foods North America team. The ideal candidate will be a big thinker and self-starter. They must be able to drive impact, influence others and articulate ideas through all levels of the organization. They must be able to drive an ever-evolving agenda and clearly communicate responsibilities to team members and across the organization.Level: Principal Scientist (L10)The position is located in Plano HQ, Plano, TXResponsibilities * Lead the Newly created FSQA organization in Delivering New Product Innovation for PFNA (Quaker, Canada) with a focus on food safety hazards & mitigation. * Formal job training in TQM principles, SPC, HACCP concepts, CFIA/FDA regulations would be beneficial. * Be a results-oriented "change agent" who can understand different scenarios and help facilitate big-picture and tactical execution throughout all projects. * Manage multiple project work streams and support new product initiatives in a highly complex strategic role in which there may be little precedent Formal job training in TQM principles, SPC, HACCP concepts, and CFIA/FDA regulations would be beneficial. * Maintain strategic quality programs across PFNA to improve processes and reduce potential risks while providing recommendations with supporting documentation. * TSG leadership with one FSQA Voice; Partner with Innovation, Insights and commercialization teams on future portfolio architecture and innovation growth strategy * Ability to clearly communicate and win support of ideas and plans to all levels of the organization, both written and verbal. * Champion creative thinking and people development to elevate and grow dedicated team members while supporting career aspirations. * Monitoring of FSQA programs including the HACCP Program, sanitation standard operating procedures, pest control, good manufacturing practices, approved supplier program, foreign material control, plant sanitation, chemical control, product quality assurance, FSQA Customer complaints, food defense, and security * Develop curriculum & lead Employee Training of FSQA Programs, Policies, and ProceduresCompensation & Benefits: * The expected compensation range for this position is between $102,800 - $172,100 based on a full-time schedule. * Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. * Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. * Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. * In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.Qualifications * 10+ years' experience in leadership roles, for a global consumer goods company * Background in Supply Chain/Operations/Quality Control/Quality Assurance and FSQA-programs including the HACCP Program. * Knowledge and experience in food processes including products, packaging, and process equipment. * Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, CQV especially on hygienic design concepts, and audit practices. Certified Quality and/or Food Safety Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer a plus. * Experience in Food Safety with technical knowledge in the area of, Food Safety Hazard analysis, assessments & documentation. * Preferred to be PCQI certified. * Strong leadership, influencing & consensus-building skills. * Proven track record of achievement in a matrix organization and an ability to cultivate good cross-functional partnerships. * Excellent communication & presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts & systems to drive alignment around critical objectives. * Demonstrate practical application of risk-based approach. * Willingness to travel 10% - 15%Preferred Skills: * Thinks Strategically: Takes a broad view of the business, industry, and consumer environment to anticipate and plan for the future.
