The Lead Data Engineer holds a pivotal role in data governance, ensuring data accuracy and delivering valuable insights to the organization. Their responsibilities include leading and mentoring a team of data developers, establishing governance frameworks, enforcing quality standards, and fostering collaboration across departments.WHAT YOU'LL DO * Oversee and guide a team of data engineers, offering mentorship, guidance, and support. * Conduct advanced data analysis to extract insights, patterns, and trends that will help the organization make data-driven decisions. * Establish and maintain a data governance framework that encompasses data retention and integrity while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices. * Define and enforce data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent data quality across the organization. * Consistently enhance data quality standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee the integrity and reliability of data. * Collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to correct and cleanse data as needed to meet established quality standards. * Work with cross-functional teams to analyze relevant data and insights, contributing to informed decision-making across departments. * Perform other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent work experience). * A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in data governance and data analysis. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * A methodical and logical approach to planning and organization * Excellent analytical skills * Proven ability to learn business processes and conceptsAbout UsThis is Fortra, where we're making a difference by offering a best-in-class solutions portfolio, proactively adapting to the ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape, and putting people first.
