Summary Responsible for planning and implementing daily classroom lesson plans and assuring safety of children in the classroom. Duties Responsible for knowing and following the policies and procedures of the Center, and State Licensing Rules & Regulations. Treating all of the children with dignity and respect. Assists and supervises children during all activities. Ability to help with potty training. Helps children with meal times and clean-up. Ability to provide the highest quality of Early Childhood Education. Meet yearly continuing education requirements. Completes all center and classroom paperwork (daily notes, incident reports, attendance reports). Maintain accountability for the children in your care during the course of your shift. Schedules and conducts parent and teacher conferences throughout the year. Physically arranges the classroom into well-defined interest areas . Directs activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner. Requirements CDA, Associate's Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education is REQUIRED Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility a MUST Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule. Lots of patience and love. Highly professional, dependable and well presented. Able to interact with students of all ages and skill levels. Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and a Child Protective Services background check. Certifications in CPR, First Aid Training and MAT a plus
