Requisition ID :15464 Employment Type :Full Time Job Category :Customer Care Work Location :Reno, NV (Whse) State or Province :Nevada (US:NV) Potential Work Location :United States : Nevada : Fernley DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: * Quotes standard, non:standard and special orders to inbound customers. Coordinates quotes directly with vendors for non:standard and special orders to achieve defined conversion rates. * Applies up:selling and other selling techniques to increase order value during interactions with all MSC sales channels. * Updates AS400 database as needed to assure a high:level of accuracy of customer information. * Achieves 100 follow through and management of individual quote report. * Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. * INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge experience level and abilities required. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: o High school diploma or the equivalent required. o 2+ years experience in multiple areas of sales preferred. o 2+ years technical experience in the industrial field preferred. SKILLS: o Extensive market and industry knowledge required. o Product/technical knowledge and knowledge of customer base required. o Good business negotiation skills required. o Good project management skills required. o Knowledge of applicable computer systems and assigned software required. o Knowledge of product quotation processes required. o Basic math skills required. Compensation starting at 15 : 24 / hour dependent on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
