NO Experience Needed: Prior medical office or eyecare experience is a plus, but it’s certainly not required. We offer paid training to the right person with a great attitude, a helpful heart, and a love of learning! Some of your duties will include: - Helping people select frames that suit them based on the shape of their face, bridge fit, lifestyle, and prescription and determining the best lens types, materials, coatings, and brands for patients’ lifestyles. For example, a kid who plays basketball will need something different from someone who works on a computer all day. -Educating patients on proper eyelid and eye care, the best supplements to maintain eye health and wellness, and communicating in office therapies we offer to optimize the best vision in glasses and contact lenses. As well as taking the time to educate first-timers on how to use and take care of their glasses and contact lenses. - Troubleshooting prescription issues, checking new glasses for fit and making adjustments, miscellaneous repairs. - Consistent cross-training for optimal career growth. - Making sure patients feel welcome as soon as they walk in the door. - Reviewing and organizing patient medical charts for accuracy and authenticity. - Using your friendliest phone voice to answer incoming calls, take messages, complete outreach to patients (some re-engagement required). - Assisting in opening and closing the office. - Understanding and respecting patient privacy laws. - Assist in pre-testing,chart documentation, and troubleshooting prescription issues to set up the doctor and patients for a successful appointment. - Doing inventory, ordering, sending and receiving shipments. How you will make a difference You’ll be helping our patients choose the right glasses for them based on their personal style, lifestyle needs, prescription, and more. Out of everyone that works at our practice, the Optician has the honor of satisfying patients the most! People walk in not being able to see, and you’re the one that sends them out looking great and SEEING great - so you get all the glory! Your role is to be an educator and a style consultant. You’re confident in making recommendations and feel that every customer deserves red-carpet treatment. - You’re a natural problem solver, and hearing things like “these glasses don’t fit” or “I can’t get used to seeing with these” gets you pumped up to work your magic. - You can effectively communicate both in writing and verbally in a professional and positive manner. - You connect with people quickly and easily. - You are comfortable with technology (being open to learning is key) and can communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner. - You are attentive, detail-oriented, organized, and your work reflects all of these characteristics. - Your reputation for honesty and integrity is legendary; you’re known for doing what you say you’re going to do – no excuses! - You take pride and ownership in your work – whatever you do, you do it well. - You love to see other people happy and thriving, and you’ll do whatever you can to help them get there.
