360 Talent Avenue is partnering to place a Middle School Science Teacher with a progressive, independent school that emphasizes emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and happiness. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for science and the ability to inspire middle school students through engaging and innovative instruction. This position will teach Middle School Science in a private, progressive, globally minded school. This is a direct placement role with our client in the Miami, FL area. Highly Competitive Compensation in line with experience As a Science Teacher you will: Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's science curriculum program. Capitalize on cross-curricular opportunities with a particular emphasis on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) curriculum; thoughtfully integrate technology that engages students in scientific thinking Prepare and deliver engaging science lessons to middle school students. Design and conduct hands-on experiments and interactive activities to enhance students' understanding of scientific concepts. Use technology and various teaching methodologies to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning styles. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects. Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional well-being of students. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and share best practices. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school-wide events. Uphold school policies, procedures, and high standards of professional behavior. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field Valid teaching certification in science. At least two years of teaching experience in a middle school setting. Strong knowledge of middle school science curriculum including Biology, Chemistry, Physics. Excellent classroom management skills.
