Job Overview:Manage regulatory aspects of energy project development, financing, purchase/sale, and operation.Specialize in power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and grid/transmission issues in renewable energy. Duties:Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on regulatory matters related to energy projects.Draft and review power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, and associated project documents.Provide legal counsel and ensure compliance with FERC electricity regulations.Assist in due diligence processes for energy project financing and transactions.Maintain effective communication with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Requirements:4-8 years of legal experience with a focus on FERC electricity regulations.Exposure to project finance or energy transaction documents preferred.Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in the renewable energy industry.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Texas Bar. Skills:Proficient in legal research methodologies and analytical reasoning.Skilled in drafting and reviewing legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance processes and procedures.Excellent interpersonal skills for client interactions and stakeholder management.Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
