Lead Project Engineer - Chemical Plant Project Manager (Houston)

Deliver business value through Right and Fast partnership YOU MUST HAVE: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering 10+ years experience in Capital Project Management in Chemical Industry Led and managed 1-2 large Capital Projects (Up to 30+ million) Familiarity with applicable engineering codes/standards and their application Working knowledge of equipment procurement and construction Strong estimating skills and experience working with contractors, vendors and purchasing Knowledge of SAP as well as the Management of Change process Strong teamwork, results orientation and organizational skills are a must Excellent communication skills, demonstrated problem solving and decision making WE VALUE: Formal training and certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is desired. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. Prior chemical or industrial plant experience preferred. Experience in the management of financial budgets, projects, troubleshooting, team building, and overall leadership sought. Customer Focused - Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Technical - Understands engineering and project management principles. Experience in the use of SAP, MS Project, other MS Office Suite of products, and Primavera desired. Relates well to all levels and kinds of people (engineers, designers, craftspeople, accountants, suppliers, & construction contractors); builds appropriate rapport. Listens well. Track record of successfully managing this magnitude of investments. Six Sigma Greenbelt (or Blackbelt) certification or equivalent experience implementing productivity / continuous improvement projects.
