Our state of the art Orthodontic practice in Gold River is looking for a responsible, caring and positive clinical assistant (RDA, OA, DA) to join our team. We are looking for a team member who can grow with our practice. Work schedule starts from 16hr to 24hr/week and eventually to 32hr to 40hr/week. Duties:- Assist the orthodontist during dental procedures, including orthodontic adjustments, appliance placement, and removal- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for each patient- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the orthodontist- Perform preliminary examinations, including taking vital signs and recording patient medical history- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide post-treatment instructions- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow- Provide support to the orthodontist in various administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance claims Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program required- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health, and dental terminology- Experience in assisting with orthodontic procedures is highly desirable- Proficiency in using orthodontic software systems (Dolphin) for record keeping and scheduling- Familiarity with intra-oral scanner and 3D printing and digital bonding systems for orthodontic appliances is a plus- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children (pediatrics)- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Experience in taking dental imaging (Pano/Ceph x-rays) using digital radiography systems- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or front office assistant is advantageous We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
