Ready to be an important part of our repower team as a Project Engineer? As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of wind energy repowering projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution, aiming to optimize the performance and longevity of existing wind turbines while maximizing energy production and minimizing costs. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in wind energy and a strong understanding of renewable energy regulations and standards. Are You Looking to: Play a critical role in the development, execution, and management of a repower project? Provide engineering and technical support for development and execution of projects? From initial conception to final commissioning, be responsible for overseeing all engineering aspects of repower development, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards? Develop, maintain and update work instructions as required for upgrades and repairs? Support the planning and execution of wind energy repower projects, aspects including civil works, WTG upgrades and removal of retired components? Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables? Are You Ready to: Conduct thorough technical assessments of existing wind turbines, identifying opportunities for repowering to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance. Evaluate potential repowering strategies, such as turbine upgrades, component refurbishments, and controller optimization, considering technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate repowering solutions tailored to site-specific conditions and requirements. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and standards governing wind energy projects, including environmental, safety, and zoning requirements. Facilitate the permitting process, liaising with regulatory agencies, landowners, and community stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits. Identify potential risks and challenges associated with repowering projects, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address them effectively. Implement quality assurance and safety plans to uphold high standards of workmanship and ensure the reliability and safety of repowered wind turbines. What You’ll Need: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience with large-scale wind energy projects. Strong technical expertise in wind turbine technology, including familiarity with turbine components, systems, and operations. Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects from conception to completion. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes related to renewable energy projects. Ability to travel to project sites and work in diverse environments as needed. (Up to 50% during project execution). We care about the safety and wellbeing of every one of our employees.
