Sr. Manager of Module & Application Development

Position Summary The Sr. Manager of Module and Application Development is responsible for leading the organization in developing module to demonstrate Lithium Metal Battery technology and implementing various applications to fulfill cell to system level requirements. This position evaluates the potential and practicality of technology in development and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Essential Functions Provide solutions to demonstrate cell technology at sub-module, module and system level. Originate and implement module development roadmap in concert with customer needs and cell development progress. Accountable for module development which includes but not limited to structural and thermal analysis, cell integration, electrical and electronics integration, and documentation from ideation to first production approval. Provide and enforce design requirements to cell and BMS team. Lead external customer application projects by providing technical options and evaluations. Oversees key application projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new module or improvement for existing solutions. Plans and formulates aspects of research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resource requirements. Identify product and process challenges and elaborate and test solutions. Advise creative solutions to solve challenges in development and commercialization Complete component-based cost analysis on the new product and have the ability to engineer new product formulas to achieve desired price points Collaborate with other departments to establish branding, positioning, packaging and promotion for the new and existing products Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership position Strong technical strength in mechanical and thermal analysis. Experience in module and pack development for battery system is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of electrical and electronic system design is preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing environment, process development and scale-up, QC/QA method development and validation is a must Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Process orientation; demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes in and out of product development Project management skills; will have demonstrated the ability to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; will understand how to align resources, seek the input of key constituents, and manage others to achieve desired results Outstanding ability to deliver results in timely fashion, in within constraints of fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated team player with results oriented attitude and creative background Strong Interpersonal skills and able to inspire and motivate a team of direct reports and personnel to achieving the new product goal and vision Travel: 15-25% domestic/international travel may be required
