SUMMARY OF POSITION: We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Nursing Director to join our team in the senior living and retirement communities’ industry. As the Director of Nursing, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the overall operation of our health services for the community. With your leadership abilities and strong healthcare background, you will collaborate with the Executive Director and additional teams to ensure the highest quality of care is always maintained. JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: · Develop and implement health services policies, procedures, and standards to optimize efficiency and effectiveness, in accordance with OSHA.· Manage the nursing budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of the department· Complete admission, quarterly, and change in condition assessments per company policy· Coordinate care, as needed, with outside and offsite providers· Review physician orders and resident health reports· Evaluate resident health monitoring reports and make recommendations as needed· Maintain a working knowledge of all applicable regulations, laws, and professional standards and ensure compliance· Participate in community surveys (inspections) made by licensed government agencies When not performing health services responsibilities, devote best efforts and full cooperation with the Executive Director in the overall operation of the property in accordance with the Management Plan approved by Snow Canyon Retirement Community Retirement Communities. · All other duties as assigned by Executive Director of the Senior Living Community SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process of medication technicians and nurse(s)· Lead and manage staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care· Monitor medication administration and treatment schedules to ensure they are provided as ordered· Ensure staff compliance with safety protocols REQUIREMENTS: · Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university· Current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state.· Must be able to pass a background check and eligible to work in a licensed senior living community OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: · Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and inspire a team· Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities· Preferred prior experience in nursing management, preferably in a senior living community or other related healthcare setting· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels· Proficiency in computer applications· Dependable vehicle for transportation WORK ENVIRONMENT: To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the following requirements must be met.
