Senior Accountant- Integra Water

Description:
Position Summary We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our Team. The responsibilities include maintaining fixed asset records, account reconciliations and supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Specific Responsibilities Performs a variety of accounting duties including accounts receivable posting, accounts payable processing and cost accounting of self-constructed assets and purchased assets. Prepares journal entries, balances, maintains and reconciles a variety of general ledger and subsidiary accounts. Develop and maintain records of capital assets including construction work in progress (CWIP), additions, disposals, and depreciation. Analyze accounting data in the fixed asset subsidiary and general ledger to review and highlight variances, trends, exceptions and discrepancies, taking action as appropriate. Identify and document accounting treatment (capital or expense) for capital asset projects. Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with operations to ensure financial transactions are timely and accurately recorded. Assist with various ad hoc projects as needed. Audit support Promote continuous improvement. Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities Ability to apply independent judgement and discretion as appropriate. Detail oriented, analytical and highly organized. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work and meet critical deadlines. Highly proficient in Excel. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central/Dynamics GP is a plus. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field. 2 years of professional accounting experience. Utility/regulatory accounting experience preferred but not required.
