Summary Family Service Specialist The Improvement Association is seeking a Family Service Specialist (FSS) to assist with recruiting and enrolling children in the Head Start program and ensure that Head Start program services and community resources are available to enrolled children and their families. Will work with families to develop a strength-based plan of action to meet their needs and will inform neighborhood residents and the community about the services provided through the Head Start program and other programs of total community action. The FSS will be responsible for maintaining accurate data on each family to facilitate program services and to assess their impact on the families we serve. An Associate Degree in Social Work or Human Services or in a related field of study preferred. Ability to communicate verbally and writing is desirable, accurately enter data into the computer. Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
