If you have a passion for helping animals, and a love for serving others - we want you to help us deliver on that promise by joining our Compounding Team.The Lead Compounding Pharmacy Technician is responsible for producing the highest quality and maintaining consistency in final packaged preparations. The lead tech accomplishes these tasks through working with Wedgewood's management team and all other staff employees in fulfilling his/her responsibilities and duties. When will you work? The hours for this position are 8:15 am - 5:15 pm Monday-Friday. What you'll do: Mentor new hires and assist in reaching department goals. Manages department workflow via defined and authorized work management strategies, which includes work initiation, assignment of work tasks to staff, and work completion Will be required to compound. Addresses task issues through direct action, mentoring, issue escalation, or collaborative problem solving. Keeps direct reports informed of expectations Takes appropriate actions, as agreed with management, to help the group adapt to change with minimal disruption of production. Fully understands the workflow and work management of the lab and can recognize - through the use of various analytical methods - current and future productivity and/or quality issues, and then collaborates with management to implement corrective strategies. Troubleshoot issues around the lab to eliminate downtime and keep production in motion. Communicate all disciplinary actions to management to be addressed . Who you are: Follow all Wedgewood's policies and procedures and recommend any improvements. All compounding of products will be done using good compounding technique and good lab practices. All staff assigned to you will be treated in a polite, friendly, and respectful manner. Any suggested additions or improvements to existing systems or procedures will be submitted in writing to the appropriate supervisor. All staff using equipment for compounding, packaging, or labeling of MTS/MTO products will be trained on usage and safety of equipment according to manufacturers' instructions. Equipment-specific training will be documented according to company policy. Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage workflow, processes, and plans. Display and accept accountability Excellent problem solving, analysis and communication skills Customer (internal and external) focus Positive, Respectful, and Professional attitude Understands and reacts with a sense of urgency Very good organization with attention to neatness. Adaptable and ability to move with change while maintaining a positive attitude. Must be able to work, without restriction, with all chemicals used in the compounding process. Ability to focus, concentrate and pay attention to detail with the highest level of accuracy and precision are required Must have the ability to have a flexibility in working hours and work extended hours and weekends on occasion as required by business needs What you've done: High School Diploma or GED. Must be registered with the state of Arizona as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
