Seeking : Childcare Supervisor Permanent Role, Immediate Start Date Reports To : Board of Directors Description On behalf of Au coin des pepart - Centre Préscolaire, we are seeking an experienced leader with a deep knowledge of childcare and early years Act of 2014, licensing, child development, management and community building with multiple stakeholders. Located in St. Catherines, Ontario's vibrant and family-focused community, the centre is licensed for 45 children from infant through preschool. Bilingualism in both French and English is a requirement; French as a first language is an asset. The responsibilities of the Supervisor include overseeing the day-to-day operations, preparing an environment where children can reach their potential, inspiring and leading the faculty to work at their highest capacity, building trust with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that all legislative requirements are met. We are seeking a highly skilled, effective, and experienced leader who can inspire and collaborate with staff, families, and children. Skills Exemplary communication skills with the ability to professionally articulate the differentiating factors of the childcare centre. Strong computer skills. Good financial skills and knowledge Staff and supply staff scheduling. Managing policies and procedures. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Possess strong leadership skills to prioritize workload in order to achieve exceptional results in a continuously changing environment. Ability to establish rapport and effectively communicate with the board of directors, employees, parents/guardians, ministry of education, school board, community agencies, and the St. Catherine’s community at large. Licensing and Regulatory Compliance Working knowledge of the CCEYA. Working Knowledge of: The Ontario Human Rights Code Employment Standards Act (ESA) Occupational Health and Safety Act Ensuring the centre is compliant with all provincial and region.
