Our Goleta, CA site is in search of an Industrial Engineer to join our growing team. Roles and Responsibilities * Lead workshops to train workers in LEAN & core manufacturing concepts* Lead value stream mapping & process mapping activities to identify opportunities to improve critical business functions, improve schedule/cost & support new product business proposals* Champion Lean-Agile projects & 'The Visual Factory'* Setup digital manufacturing dashboards & new metrics across manufacturing floors to help production workers & program teams execute simply & effectively.* Routine Capacity planning & assessments to identify bottlenecks* Manage & respond to identified bottlenecks with recommendations* Facilitate or actively work projects to support corporate strategy initiatives as required* Support product launches & introductions of Mission Enabling Products that support critical spacecraft missions.* Projects to strategically assess & scale early product prototypes to repeatable production technologies.* Develop sense for stakeholders needs* Production process optimization activities (for example: level loading, production schedule analysis, equipment ROI, manufacturing readiness support, etc.)* Routinely interface with SMEs in data science, ERP, MES, QMS's, & bizops in production operations Basic Qualifications: * 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree* 2 years of experience in leading groups or facilitating a cross-functional teams and leaders* Must have experience in RCCA analysis (root cause corrective action) & CAPAs (corrective actions & preventative actions)* Required Software Skills: Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Visio* Experience with data analysis* Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Experience: * Past experience with tutoring, teaching, or developing teaching materials* Experience or foundational understanding of production quality concepts* Agile or scrum* User Interface (UIX), product design, or background in behavior or art is synergistic in this role* Lean Six Sigma, Green belt* Software automation* Preferred software skills: JIRA, Confluence, Power Automate, Tableau Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300 Salary Range 2: $120,900 - $181,300The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
