Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot Level 3 or 4 professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA. The Triton program is seeking an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) pilot Level 3 or 4 for developmental test and production acceptance flights for the MQ-4C. Remotely pilots vehicle to determine compliance with specification and operational suitability during engineering tests and flight test/demonstration support through specifically prescribed tests and maneuvers. Duties and tasks most commonly associated with this role include (but are not limited to):* Defines plans, organizes and executes complex flight programs and flight test events in accordance with military, FAA and ICAO procedures.* Conducts briefings and debriefings, and coordinates with maintenance personnel to analyze and correct vehicle discrepancies.* May conduct demonstration flights with customers, government officials or other personnel to exhibit vehicle performance, flying qualities and system capabilities.* Position based at Palmdale, CA requiring occasional travel. Basic Qualifications for level 3: * Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited university* Minimum of 5 years of experience; 3 years experience with Master's degree; 0 years with PhD. Basic Qualifications for level 4: * Bachelor's of Science degree from an accredited university* Minimum of 9 years of experience; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD. Basic Qualifications for both level 3 and 4: * Position requires previous experience as a flight operations crew member.* Must be FAA commercial instrument rated pilot (or military equivalent) plus current FAA Class II Medical or better.* Minimum of 500 hours of flight experience as Pilot in Command and able to maintain instrument currency in manned aircraft.* Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.* Selected candidate must successfully complete MQ-4C UAV training and qualification program and receive Government Flight Representative (GFR) certification as a basis for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications: * Current/qualified in Global Hawk or Triton highly desirable.* Military flight experience highly desirable.* Flight test experience.* Aviation instructor/evaluator experience.* Active DoD Secret Clearance Salary Range: $118,000 - $177,000 Salary Range 2: $146,300 - $219,500The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
