ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Industrial Hygienist supports specific project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and enhance a culture of safety. Conduct comprehensive workplace assessments to identify potential health hazards, including chemical, physical, biological, and ergonomic factors. Perform air and noise monitoring, exposure assessments, and ergonomic evaluations to quantify risks to employee health. Develop and implement effective control measures to mitigate workplace hazards, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with management, engineers, and employees to develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Provide technical expertise and guidance to management and employees on occupational health and safety issues, including hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene best practices, and emergency response procedures. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on occupational health and safety practices, including proper PPE usage, chemical handling procedures, and ergonomic principles. Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, or related field. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and ANSI standards. Experience conducting workplace assessments, exposure monitoring, and ergonomic evaluations.
