Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Summary: The shop Assistant is responsible to the Regional Director of shop and shop site Managers and provides services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures, professional regulations and standards and Provincial and Federal statutes. Principle functions will be to provide drug distribution services, including sterile compounding of hazardous and nonhazardous drugs, for inpatients and outpatients at the Boundary Trails Health Centre and affiliate sites. The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud. Travel will be required to other Southern Health-Santé Sud sites. Qualifications: Grade XII Certificate from a recognized shop Technician Course Previous experience in a hospital shop setting is preferred Basic computer experience is.
