We are hiring a full time Food Service Manager to oversee our culinary retail operations at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON. The retail outlets include Pita Pit, Pizza Pizza, Burger Concept and Fresh to Go program where campus customers order prepared foods from a menu. The Food Service Manager is responsible for developing and implementing beverage and dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Job Responsibilities • Lead the front of the house of the Retail operation with the Food Service Director • Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities to deliver a finished product • Oversees various food retail outlets ensuring Aramark standards of services are maintained • Follows the Operational Excellence fundamentals by maintaining food and labour initiatives • Ensures individual and team is trained, and performance meets objective and client expectations • Brings value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management • Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer • Supervises the team regarding production, quality, and control • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for patrons and employees At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications • Previous experience in a retail food franchise outlet is a definite asset • 2-3 years food service supervisory or management experience is required • Experience in directing the work of others as per job duties and business requirements • Experience managing and controlling food, labour, and operational costs to maximize revenues • Ability to act with a ‘Customer comes.
