This is a rare opportunity to join a start-up within a larger organization. You will help launch and operate a new brand in the Ontario and Quebec markets powered by Ocado Group’s world-leading e-commerce grocery platform. We are looking for experienced, passionate, curious, customer-obsessed, and entrepreneurial individuals to join a diverse and driven team whose mission is to help Canadians stay one step ahead of their busy lives. Job Description • Check vans for damage, temperature and fuel level and direct them to the appropriate parking location in the yard. Inform the fleet team of any defects requiring attention through the appropriate procedure. • Ensure vans are parked properly and efficiently so the team can easily locate them and bring them to the dock doors for loading. • Unload trailers and load vans with frames of food products. • Daily audit of service bags • Refuel vehicles if necessary • Assist with road deliveries if necessary • Assist fleet team in moving vans to off-site maintenance provider appointments. • Carry out the pre-departure inspection and record the information in the van report (new damage, mileage in and out). • Communicate with staff on directing vans to assigned doors and entry and exit routes. • Guide the mobile van washing team and allow them to move around the Spoke yard. • Plan and execute.
