You should be familiar with current grid modernization technologies, leading-edge projects underway across the sector, and an awareness of existing and developing regulatory drivers for grid modernization. Example project experience could grid automation, autonomous self-healing, advanced protection & controls, ADMS modular implementation, DER (including EV chargers & utility scale batteries) integration & management, control room upgrading, SCADA & Communication system upgrades, AMI data utilization, and big data analysis. This role can be based out of any Hatch office in Canada Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar Min of 15 years of career experience working in / with electric T&D utilities Experience in grid innovation / modernization technology deployment roles Experience in distribution system design, commissioning, operations, asset management, and capital planning Experience helping utilities resolve challenges such as needing to upgrade aging infrastructure to accommodate increasing DER penetration, bidirectional power flows, increased resilience & reliability, while accounting.
