About Our Opportunity Reporting to a Manager of Exercising within the Training and Exercise Branch, the Exercise Officer is responsible for supporting all NSEMO Emergency Management Programs through the development, implement and evaluation of emergency management exercises in support of the department’s mandate. This includes the development, updating and execution of policies, programs, and procedures for the prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery phases of all emergencies affecting, or having the potential to impact the Province. You also be responsible for working in the Provincial Coordination Centre (PCC) during emergencies, working overtime, and being on standby on a rotational basis. Primary Accountabilities As the Exercise Officer, you are responsible for strengthening provincial and local emergency preparedness, through planning, training, and exercising. This includes: liaising with stakeholders (NSEMO staff, provincial departments/ municipalities/ critical infrastructure partners, etc. ), the delivery of exercise and evaluation programs and associated training programs, leading and facilitating stakeholder planning meetings, and the development of comprehensive exercise documentation, reports, post-meeting documentation/ finding reports, and needs analysis. Qualifications and Experience You have completed a Bachelor's degree in a related field and have a minimum of six (6) years of recent experience. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
