Description:
Primary Purpose The Accounting Analyst will focus on enhancing the company’s reporting processes and perform detailed financial analysis to provide information to senior decision makers. This is a blended Operational and Financial Accounting Role that will see the full spectrum of accounting from site level work to published Financial Statements. The position will work closely with two controllers (Operations Focus and Financial Focused). Duties and Responsibilities Prepares monthly working papers, management financial statements and monthly reports to the Board of Directors Assists with preparation and review of quarterly consolidated financial statements and MD&A Owns the fixed asset reporting module in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for all capital projects of the Company. Creates processes related to the purchase and disposal of capital assets. Utilizes available data streams to investigate, analyze, and make recommendations to support business and accounting improvement projects. Initiates and actively participating in the improvement of methods and processes by helping to provide data, proposing ideas and collaborating to improve cost control. Establish, implement, and test internal controls and procedures at the mine level and corporate level. Participate in monthly P&L detail review and making recommendations on cost coding. Liaise with operating department at sites, train and help operational staffs on accounting coding. Other Reporting projects as required. Qualifications and Experience Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or successfully passed the CFE A university degree in business or related field. Minimum 3-years of accounting experience in audit and/or industry including exposure to financial statement preparation and disclosure. Ability to effectively summarize complex information. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence others and work with cross-functional teams. Ability to work. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
