The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Manager Quality and Process Improvement, the incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the Shared Health Diagnostic Imaging Program including: accurately and consistently processing electronic files into the Radiology Information System database using manual and electronic order entry databases. Reviewing requisitions based on urgency and modality requirements. Screening requisitions for completeness and contacting referring physician offices, other health professionals or patients to gather missing data. Obtaining new and existing hospital numbers from central registries across all Shared Health facilities as required. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing clerical support to members of the Shared Health Diagnostic Imaging Team. Experience A minimum of 2 years experience within the last 5 years in a high volume computerized medical office including processing large volumes of requisitions while maintaining exceptional attention to detail is required. Experience with Right Fax and Laser Fiche considered and asset. Experience in Diagnostic Imaging Department or of Diagnostic Imaging Requisition processing preferred.
