Distribution Requirements: Science; Breadth Requirements: The Physical and Mathematical Universes Estimated course enrolment : 30 Estimated TA support : 60 hours Schedule : Lectures Tuesday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. and labs Thursday 3-5pm, January 8 to April 5, 2024 Sessional dates : January 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024 Please note: This position includes the completion of any course work and grading not completed by April 30, 2024. Salary Sessional Lecturer I: $9,457.90 Sessional Lecturer I, Long Term: $9,930.79 Sessional Lecturer II: $10,121.77 Sessional Lecturer II, Long Term: $10,326.62 Sessional Lecturer III: $10,362.76 Sessional Lecturer III Long Term: $10,570.02 Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail. Minimum Qualifications : A Ph. D. degree in Earth Sciences, and industry experience in deep water depositional systems are required. Preferred Qualifications : Previous teaching experience at the university level will be an asset. Description of duties : Planning and delivering lectures; planning labs: developing and administering grading, course assignments, tests, and exams; supervising TA’s; and providing scheduled office hours for academic counselling of students.
