Commissionaires BC are seeking a motivated security professional for our busiest sites in downtown Kelowna. and West Kelowna. As an employee with Commissionaires BC, you’ll be working with an organization focused on growth and innovation. This is a unique opportunity to work at multiple sites where you will need to be available between the hours listed below. Thurs-Mon 1400-2359 Thurs-Mon 2200-0800 Guaranteed 40 hours per work Qualifications: You hold a valid BC Security License (required) A BC Class 5 DL with a clean driver's abstract (required) 1-2 years working in security You have excellent verbal and written English communication skills Your nice to haves: Non Violent Crisis Intervention training OFA Level 1 De-escalation skills Ability to work more than one site. Experience using Tracktik software Some of your responsibilities will include: Continuous foot and vehicle patrols of downtown Kelowna. Maintaining a safe environment for residents, business owners and those visiting Kelowna. Handling any crisis situations in a calm and controlled manner. Proactively responding to and resolving emergency situations and conflicts. Effectively communicating problems or concerns to the Site Supervisor. What’s in it for you?
